The sculpture stands at the highest point of Section I of the Manzanares Linear Park (also known as Bofill Park), specifically on the artificial hill called La Atalaya, near the southern interchange of the M-30 motorway in the Usera/Puente de Vallecas district.
Created by the Valencian artist Manolo Valdés, one of the founders of Equipo Crónica, it depicts a woman's head looking north, towards the center of Madrid, as a tribute to the Manzanares River.
