When King Oscar II visited the quarries in 1899, it is said that he was in a bad mood. As expected, the red workers' flag was waving at the People's House instead of the Union flag.
The King returned soon but had time to sign his autograph on the latest memorial stone.
Since then, two other regents have signed the Royal Stone: Gustav VI. Adolf and Carl XVI. gustaf They visited Halland and Söndrum in connection with Eriksgatan in 1954 and 1981 respectively. (Translation of the information board)
