A beautiful pebble beach at the end of the Altea promenade. The small cycle path towards the hinterland can be used (always) along the riverbed of the Riu Algar, and later along the Riu Guadalest. After heavy, persistent rainfall, the "small" stream turns into a raging river and the Cap Negret beach turns into a delta.

A wonderful coastal cycle path along Altea, the car-free beach path.
If you really want to experience it, you can go to the absolute opposite of Benidorm, but take a look at this juggernaut via road with mostly cycle paths.
Tip: further along the beach you can still see the gigantic construction sins, but it is becoming increasingly quiet on the equally wide sandy beach.
