Its mightiness is reminiscent of Babylonian portals, but this gate was built in Roman times to allow passage through the mighty city walls. There you could stop off in Perusia, as Perugia was formerly called. You shouldn't miss it, because the height and mightiness are just as impressive as the opportunity to take part in the historical object of Roman Perugia.
