The Zallinger Kapelle, located on the Alpe di Siusi, takes its name from the nearby Zallinger refuge, founded in the 19th century as an alpine pasture for shepherds. The chapel was built in later years to offer a place of prayer to workers and travelers. Originally dedicated to the Madonna, the small church bears witness to the deep religious devotion of the mountain communities.
