    Tiny wooden aedicule hanging from a tree, with a statuette of the Madonna, and a bench in front. All this, in a small clearing among the pines, a short distance from the path but practically invisible if you don't know it's there. According to a plaque on the side of the newsstand, "the image was placed by devotees to the Madonna in the Gurajà locality, which was lost in the landslide that broke out following the 1994 flood". A second plaque commemorates David Bertrand, an anti-forest fire volunteer who died during the 1999 fire on Monte San Giorgio.
