Under this rock face in 1851, an Englishman who was staying as a guest at the Hermsdorf manor had a child baptized with Jordan water.
The mountain club has the following plaque on the Taufstein:
Dedicated in gratitude to the memory of its former founder and long-time chairman Johann Eilfried Koppradt in Hermsdorf. Section Schweizermühle and surroundings of the Mountain Club for Saxon Switzerland.
