Very nice hiking trail along the embankment through the Eidertal to Flintbek. Easily accessible by bike, but a few short, steep sections just before Flintbek.

With a length of 188 km, the Eider is the longest river in Schlewig-Holstein. It begins as a small rivulet until it flows into the North Sea with its Purrenstrom at a width of at times two kilometers.On its way, the longest river in Schleswig-Holstein has written a lot of history, has been changed and absorbed again and again. Today the Eider is interrupted or united in one piece by and with the Kiel Canal.In Rendsburg it returns to its own riverbed and is only navigable from there.
