Statue erected by Abbot Bernard de Mun, because it was then located on his land. It was placed here because it dominates the place, at the top of the hill. It is now located in the dominial forest, the land having been bought by the State in 1971. The choice of a name 'Black Virgin' remains a mystery to this day.
