Mountain biking

A first chapel can be found at the site of today's church as early as 1410. In 1478 the construction of the Gothic church, which still exists for the most part today, began. In 1507 the church "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" was inaugurated. The Gothic church received a modern extension in the 1960s, with the newly created sanctuary covered with a wooden construction resembling a tent roof. Together with the vicarage, the old elementary school and a historic Walser house that has been restored here, the old village center of Brand is also called the "Walser ensemble".
