    The Pfreimd

The Pfreimd rises one and a half kilometers southeast of Lesná u Tachova in the Czech Republic. On its 20 km long upper course it bears the name Kateřinský potok (Katharinabach).
Three kilometers southwest of Diana in the Czech Republic, the creek flows westward into Bavarian territory, where it is initially still called Katharinabach and, after the Rehlingbach flows in from the right at the Pfrentschweiher state estate, bears the name Pfreimd.
The Pfreimd initially runs further west to its most important tributary, the Zottbach from the north near the village of Lohma south of the town of Pleystein, which also has its source in the Czech Republic. Here it takes on a winding south-west course.
It passes the villages of Moosbach, Altentreswitz and Böhmischbruck. In Böhmischbruck, the Uchabach flows from the left into the Pfreimd. Then it flows through the Pfreimdstausee Kainzmühle.
North of Trausnitz, the Pfreimd leaves the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab and changes to the district of Schwandorf. At Trausnitz it is dammed up to form the Trausnitztalsperre.
At the northern edge of the Pfreimd market, the Pfreimd flows from the left into the Naab after about 76 kilometers.

The Pfreimd is an approximately 76-kilometer-long river in the Czech Republic and Germany in the Upper Palatinate Forest, which flows from the left into the Naab near the town of Pfreimd in the Schwandorf district. You can take a wonderful stroll along its banks.
