The Hasselt Chapel is the oldest monument in Tilburg that can be visited and dates from around 1536. Thanks to its warm appearance and sacred atmosphere, it attracts many visitors every day. At the center is the old statue of Mary (1796) as a timeless symbol of mother and child. Especially in the month of May it is very busy, with a candy stall. Unfortunately some built in the 60s.

The Hasselt Chapel, or Chapel of Our Lady Visitation, is a chapel in the Tilburg district and a former herd of Hasselt, dating back to just before 1536. This makes it the oldest religious monument in Tilburg. The chapel was located on the northern edge of the city; since 1960, it has been nestled amidst new housing developments. It is located at Hasseltplein 7 and borders a triangular park, which has housed a bronze statue of the Virgin Mary, created by Charles Vergouwen, since 1998. (Wikipedia)
