The estate's homesteads were scattered throughout the valley and built on podiums. The terraced fields at "Heinschen" and "Frankenberger Kopf" as well as at the end of the valley floor are overgrown with forest and should be re-cultivated in order to reintroduce the Huguenots.
Until about 1700 there was a mill further down the valley
The spring still supplies the residents of Rosenthal with drinking water.
