The manor is a huge three-sided farm that served the Crossen castle lords until 1925. The over 400-year-old estate is located in the Nickelsdorf district of the municipality of Crossen, high above the White Elster River, amidst a beautiful landscape. In addition to the guest house and event spaces, a creative workshop, play barn, sports facilities, and playgrounds round out the offerings for young and old.

The youth hostel is suitable for groups of children and young people as well as families and travel groups. Particularly impressive are the old half-timbered and loam walls as well as meter-thick natural stone walls - witnesses of the era when the manor was still an outwork of the castle in Crossen.
