The work is dedicated to the memory of Irena Sendler. It was created in 2014 as one of the murals that were made in various Polish cities as part of the program of the nationwide initiative of the Klamra Foundation.
Małgorzata Rozenau is a graduate of the Graphic Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Works in painting and graphic design. He works at the Department of Painting at his alma mater. Dariusz Paczkowski is a social activist, street artist and animator of cultural life.
Irena Sendlerowa (1910-2008) - a Polish social and charity activist, she made special merit for her actions during the war, when, with the help of her liaison officers and trusted people who were ready to sacrifice their lives, she managed to lead around 2,500 children from the Warsaw ghetto and place them in private homes, orphanages, monasteries and orphanages.
From 1942, she was a member of the Council to Aid Jews.
In 1965, she was honored by the Israeli Yad Vashem institute with the Righteous Among the Nations medal.
By the decisions of the President of the Republic of Poland, she was awarded the Order of the White Eagle (2003), the Commander's Cross with the Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2001), and the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (1996).
