South of Leimen/Palatinate, on a wild and romantic mountain path to the Kippkopf, there are mighty rock formations made of red sandstone that are popular with climbers. Dark iron oxide weathering and fossil inclusions can also be found on the light-colored rock. A little further on, from a rocky plateau above the Geißenschlupf, you have a fantastic view and also find a cozy rest area.
