Mathon, a small Grisons mountain community
The village is located on a sun terrace at 1520 m above sea level, high above the left bank of the Hinterrhein, on the eastern slope of Piz Beverin, the Mathoner Hausberg, between the villages Wergenstein and Lohn. Impressive is the magnificent view over the whole Val Schons (Schamsertal) with its imposing mountain scenery visavis.
