The peace in Deinikon (1531)
In the Second Kappeler War, the Reformed troops suffered heavy losses at the Battle of Kappel and the raid on the Gubel in October 1531. On November 20, an important peace treaty was signed at Deinikon, which corresponded more closely to the interests of Catholic Central Switzerland in the military circumstances. In 1931, on the occasion of the 400th anniversary, a peace cross was created at the "Büni" in Deinikon.
