The now rather neglected bridge over the Hildesheim branch canal is almost 100 years old and served the Bolzum farmers as a connection to their fields east of the canal. Nowadays only pedestrians and cyclists can cross the bridge.
However, the branch canal is to be widened soon, which is why the days of the bridge are numbered. A new building at this point is not planned after the widening has been completed.translated by
