Hiking Highlight
The Ensinger See is always a popular destination, but it is not approved for swimming or fishing. In addition to the children's playground, there is also a barbecue area with benches and tables.

You can walk around the small and quiet lake. There are two barbecue areas, a playground and also a shelter.
I particularly like the natural path along the south bank.

The "Ensinger See" is located near Ensingen (a district of Vaihingen / Enz) in the Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg.
- In the immediate vicinity of the lake there is a playground and a barbecue area at the "opposite end"
- Hiking parking lot nearby, on the L 1106
- Beautiful lake
- no bathing lake (bathing ban)
- more frequented on weekends and in great weather due to the location

At the eastern end of the southernmost of the three Stromberg trains, the Swabian Alb Association built a paneled wooden tower on a stone base in 1925. In 1968 the tower was renovated and in 1978 the sanitary facilities were improved. In the base of the tower there is a small tavern, next to it an open refuge with a garden restaurant and in close proximity the new Belrein refuge and a children's playground.
The hut is named after the counts (barons) von Belrein, whose castle previously stood on Eselsberg, but of which hardly any remains can be seen.
