The Maribo Cathedral is one of the most important works of brick Gothic in Denmark and belonged to the monastery of the Brigitten Order. Around them came the city of Maribo. The associated park has long walkways and draws a calm picture. Perfect for a break.

The nave was built soon after the monastery was founded, but was expanded as early as 1450–70. The tower was only built in 1500, but had to be demolished and rebuilt around 1740. The exterior of the cathedral is characterized by the red bricks and the stepped gables characteristic of Danish churches (Wikipedia).
