In the site of the prospect, a metal staircase was built earlier and used by border guards to catch a diver or emigrant faster. After the revolution, this stairway was canceled. But the Iron Stairs remained.

From the viewpoint, there is a nice view of the lowland in Austria and the wooded valley of the Dyje river. A red tourist sign will lead you to the prospect.
