The Ranzow lighthouse once stood on the northeast side of the Jasmund peninsula in what is now the national park not far from Lohme.
From 1905 to 1999 it showed ships their way.

The white, round tower consists of 24 cast iron segments, has a copper pointed roof and a red gallery.
It is seven meters high and the diameter of the tower and lantern is 2.60 meters. At its former firing height of 55 meters, the range of the flash fire was 14 nautical miles.
From 2004 to 2019, the Ranzow beacon stood as a contemporary witness to German navigation on the site of the Kap Arkona monument. After another renovation, it has stood as a beacon in the port of Lauterbach since summer 2021 to show ships the way into the narrow harbor entrance.

The tower of the lighthouse Ranzow was made in 1904 by the company Julius Pintsch from 24 cast-iron segments. The beacon was located on the peninsula Jasmund, in today's national park, not far from Lohme. For reasons of difficult economic entertainment due to poor accessibility, the fire was extinguished in 1999 and dismantled in July 2002 by the Water and Shipping Authority Stralsund, as it was feared vandalism damage. The individual parts were first stored on the island of Denmark in Stralsund and 2003 renovated, conserved and shown since 02.10.2004 as a testimony of the German naval character of the early 20th century on the surface monument Arkona on the island of Rügen at Cape Arkona.

Unfortunately already mined a few years ago. It only reminds one info board to the former beacon.
