When you have climbed the 1000 meters of elevation gain under the virgin forest, you arrive on the wide ridge of the Luxmore, just above the crowns. And in the morning, you will also be above the clouds. Luxmore Ridge is a sea of grasses dried and yellowed by the wind and the sun.
Very open, it offers a spectacular panorama of the Kepler Mountains and Te Anau Lake.
This passage is very exposed to the wind, in all seasons, but particularly from May to October.
