The classical hall church on a rectangular floor plan was built in 1831/32 by Nikolaus Erdmann Arend according to the plans of the state master builder Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Selig. From the hipped roof of the nave rises a square, slate-roofed tower with an octagonal tower housing the belfry and clock tower. The church bell from the 13th century bears the names of the four evangelists as an inscription. The tower is covered with a bell-shaped dome. The interior has galleries on pillars on three sides, which are accessed by a staircase with two handrails. The pulpit stands behind the altar, which is framed by the parish stalls and has two staircases corresponding to the galleries. A late Gothic crucifix stands on the altar. The organ with 14 registers, one manual and one pedal was built in 1833 by Eobanus Friedrich Krebaum.
