You can get there on a paved road via the Kita-Tsukuba Ridge, which takes a side road from Ueso Pass. The hang glider launch site has a spectacular view. The route ahead is an exhilarating one, climbing up and down the ridgeline of the Tsukuba mountain range, passing through Ipponsugi Pass and descending Mt. Kaba, passing by wind power generation.
