The so-called "Mudauer Heerhaag" on the "Alten Römerstraße" between Mudau and Beuchen (BY) is still clearly visible to the trained eye.
Wall and moat had the function of controlling the movement of goods in such a way that the exchange of goods was only possible and controllable at designated stations.
A clearly visible "Angelstein" of the former gate fortification still bears witness to this.
