In the open-air museum in Stübing, you can visit not only exhibits that bear witness to agricultural work in the 19th and 20th centuries, but also entire farms that have been brought together from all nine federal states. Embedded in a beautiful landscape with forests, meadows and a stream to cool off, you can stroll around in the open-air museum for hours.

The Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing, as the central open-air museum of the Republic of Austria, was incorporated into the Universalmuseum Joanneum on January 1, 2019.
With the scientific documentation of historically significant examples of Austrian rural architecture and their settlement, economic and way of life, as well as through events and activities, the foundation fulfills its charitable mission for teaching, research, schools and the general public.
