The Hercules Railway used to run through the upper Drusel Valley, in which the Drusel flows in its natural state, and as a meter gauge railway it transported goods (mining operations) and people (tourism) between Kassel and Hercules and thus in the Habichtswald. Since the Middle Ages, the now buried, artificially created Druselgraben branched off near the Aschrottpark. From here he led to the Drusel Tower, from where his water was distributed in channels in the city.
