In 888, Sommersdorf Castle was first mentioned in a document. The castle is known among other things for its mummies, which were found in a family crypt. The dead were mummified without being embalmed.You can spend the night in the romantic fairytale castle. The castle has been owned by the von Crailsheim family since 1550. Dr. Manfred Freiherr and Lilo Freifrau von Crailsheim have converted parts of the castle into holiday apartments.
