Summit of the Sierra de Aralar located in the natural park of the same name. In its surroundings there are a good number of cavities and caves that attract archaeologists and spéologists every year to enter the interior of this mountain range.

The route that we have done today goes up to Alleko and Sarastarri, leaving the Lizarrusti hill, next to the interpretation center of the Aralar natural park. The indications of the wpt correspond to the counterclockwise direction.
GPS is essential because after Alleko we descend off the trail.
Although at times we have come across paths, we have followed them for a few meters or have crossed them, with a view to joining the track that takes us to the Lareo reservoir.
Once we have reached said reservoir, we take a detour to the right at a certain point that will take us to the top of Sarastarri, although we will first visit the cave that bears its name.
Access to this cave is easy, it involves going down a bit on somewhat slippery ground, but without danger. It is advisable to wear headlamps to visit it, because once inside it we can move both to the right and to the left, in a more or less comfortable way due to its width. We have advanced a few meters to the left and we have not needed to bend down. From what I read later, on the right we could have found a small lake.
Both from the top of Alleko and from the top of Sarastarri you can enjoy stupendous views.
The return, from the point where we left the track (km 9.5), becomes a bit confusing as there is no clear path. Looks like there was some, we see some weathered red and white marking on a tree. Again I insist that the GPS is essential. Once you reach the Ubeiko Leizea wpt, the path becomes more evident, although it also seems little traveled.
Ubeiko Leizea is an inlet of almost unknown depth where three small streams drain.
After following this path for just over a kilometer, we end up on the track that borders the swamp. We continue along it to the dam (although the track is done going behind the building, skipping a step). From there we continue straight ahead and we will later cross a small tunnel and we will go through a beautiful section equipped with some chains as a guardrail, given the verticality of the wall through which we pass. They are not really necessary, there is no danger. From there to the parking lot will be just over a kilometer.
