When the weather is nice you can spend a long time here at the lake and enjoy the view

It is so beautiful and reassuring here that man finds himself and rest again.

The Eibsee is a very beautiful Ursee. A walk around the lake is preferable to a bike tour. You just see more.

It is even worth getting off your bike for a moment, pausing and just enjoying the view.

Almost like in the Caribbean. The blue water of the lake is amazing. But luckily you still have the mountain panorama here. Just great.

The colors of the lake are incredible. Like in paradise! More beautiful than the Caribbean and then the mountains... Always worth a trip!

after a tour up to the Eibsee and a lap around the lake, you can still float a bit over the lake by boat ...

                              Eibsee (Weitsee and Untersee)
In the northeast, the 4.8-hectare and 26-meter-deep Untersee is almost completely separated from the main part of the lake, the 172-hectare Weitsee, by a narrow passage 50 meters wide and only 0.5 meters deep. A hiking trail leads along the northern shore of the Eibsee over a small bridge at this narrow passage. The deepest point of the entire lake, at 34.5 meters, is only about 90 meters from the eastern southern shore (approximately at the level of the Frillensee). The completely separated small neighboring lakes include the Frillensee in the south (not to be confused with the larger Frillensee near Inzell), as well as the Braxensee, Steingringpriel, Steinsee, Froschsee, and Drachenseelein in the north.
Due to its location below the Zugspitze and its clear, green-tinged water, the lake is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the Bavarian Alps. It was formed when the Isar-Loisach glacier retreated at the end of the Würm glaciation, leaving behind a depression that filled with water. Between 1700 BC and 1400 BC, a landslide covering an area of 13 km² and a volume of 350 million m³ crossed the central and eastern part of the lake. The estimated energy release from this landslide, with an average fall height of 1,400 m, corresponds to approximately 2.9 megatons of TNT (approximately 220 Hiroshima bombs).
