The residents of the Elbe village of Herrnskretschen (Hřensko) had to use the cemetery in Arnsdorf (Arnoltice) for burials. Although a church had already been built in the village in 1786, it was not until 1874 that a cemetery was established on the steep path up to Jonsdorf (Janov), which has since been devastated as a result of the expulsion of the German residents after World War II. However, the neo-Gothic chapel of the timber merchant Ignaz Clary has been preserved as a small architectural monument. However, it is not a burial place of the noble Clary-Aldringen family, who owned the local lordship at the same time and made a name for themselves in the development of Bohemian Switzerland as a tourist destination. A piece of German history on Czech soil.
