An old Ebernhahn veteran told me today, Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, during my hike around the so-called. "Police pond", why this fishing pond is called that.
Before it was taken over by the "Eberwiese" fishing friends, police officers from the surrounding villages of Wirges, Siershahn and Ebernhahn had leased the pond and practiced fish farming and fishing here. That was a few years ago, but the pond is still popularly called: "Policemen's pond".
