On the small top of Mount Collado, between Escobedo and Camargo, are the ruins of this castle which, thanks to its strategic location, allowed it to dominate the Camargo Valley and part of the Bay of Santander.
It is an early medieval fortress, built between the 9th and 10th centuries. It is trapezoidal in shape, about 40 by 25 meters, with an area of approximately 1,000 m2.
