This cemetery is reminiscent of a once lively Jewish community in Neulengbach.

Neulengbach is a listed Jewish cemetery in the Lower Austrian town of Neulengbach. It was founded in 1871 and is located on Almersbergstraße in the village of Au am Anzbach.

There are 71 graves in the 683 m² cemetery. 15 tombstones were lost during the Nazi regime.

In 1999 a general renovation was carried out by the association Schalom.

(The sentences preceding the quote refer to gravestones and their inscriptions. Paul Spiegel then continues:) "What one cannot learn from the stones of Bet Chayim, however, but should bring with oneself when approaching them... is respect for the peace and honor of the dead who lie there. (...) But you [meaning us as visitors] do not come with excavators, but with questions and interest. Therefore, I would like to invite you to visit the Jewish cemeteries... and let them tell you something. I also have an ulterior motive: In these times, it can't hurt if the local neighbors occasionally check on the resting places of our people, which, unfortunately, are repeatedly subjected to violence and disgrace by malicious people."
