Hiking

The lake is fenced and cannot be used for swimming, beach bathing or diving. In many places, small streams flow rippling into the lake, and benches in many places invite you to take a break with a view of the lake and the wooded mountain slopes. The benches facing the sun at the flood overflow in the north, where the water then flows noisily and calmingly over the concrete edge, are particularly popular.

Hiking

The Hasper Talsperre or Haspertalsperre is a dam that was built from 1901 to 1904 according to plans by Otto Intze by the town of Haspe (today a district of Hagen) in the Ruhr area (North Rhine-Westphalia) to supply drinking water. It is one of 14 dams in the Ruhr river system. The inauguration took place on October 11, 1904.
