Not only because of its size, but also because of its architectural shape, Schloss Oberlangenstadt occupies an exceptional position among the castles of Upper Franconia. The castle is still inhabited by the von Künsberg family today.

The castle, surrounded by an extensive park, is located on the southern edge of the municipality of Oberlangenstadt, in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach.
In 2018, shooting for the children's film "Four magical sisters" with Katja Riemann and Justus von Dohnányi took place around Oberlangenstadt Castle.
