You can have a cozy picnic at the hiking car park. The hut was closed when we were there. There are tables and benches outside. A nice place to end the tour.
And: Yes, it is a highlight that there are sanitary facilities there! There are Bazahl toilets - but between 6 a.m. and midnight you can relieve yourself free of charge 👍It's a good idea not to have to let your pants down (just) in the open air 😉
