The village of Hrastovlje below the Karst edge is best known for the famous otherwise simple church of Sv. Trinity surrounded by high defensive camp walls. The church itself is interesting because of its architecture, which hides the beautiful frescoes discovered during the restoration - the Dance of the Dead. Worth seeing.

beautiful fortified church dating back to the 14th century. it is worth visiting the fresco cycles in the small church which offer a mix of the Old and New Testament, representing a unique feature in Slovenia, and a memento mori in excellent condition
