Ruins of the old hydraulic mill that supplied electricity to the so-called royal house.

The royal house is a building located just over a kilometer from the town, in the direction of Valderrubio. It is a mansion made up of gardens and exotic trees. The Soto de Roma estate, an old rural property of the Nasrid kings of Granada, was governed from there. After the conquest of Granada by the Catholic kings, the place became the property of the Spanish crown and later, after the war of Spanish independence, it passed into the hands of the Duke of Wellington in gratitude for his help in expelling the Napoleonic troops. Before its transfer to the Church of the Incarnation, the Royal House also housed the parish of Fuente Vaqueros.
