Replica of a trading and craft settlement with ramparts directly on the bank of the Uecker a little south of Torgelow - provides an interesting insight into the life and work of people in the 9th and 10th centuries. The Ukranes are an Elbe Slavic tribe, which settled in northern Brandenburg or in the bordering Western Pomerania in the Ucker / Uecker area and gave the region its name (cf. Uckermark); see ukranenland.de
