Bad Berleburg is located in the middle of the Rothaar Mountains. The small town marks the border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse as well as between Siegerland and Hochsauerland. Bad Berleburg has a beautiful town center with old, slate-covered half-timbered houses and the striking Berleburg Castle. You will find several restaurants and cafés around Goetheplatz in the town center. The 186-kilometer-long long-distance cycle path called the "Eder Cycle Path" runs through Bad Berleburg.
