This environment combines pyroclastic formations product of two different volcanic episodes. The cones of Caldereta and Caldera Blanca were formed two million years ago and remained as two islets after the eruption of Timanfaya between 1730-1736. It is interesting to observe the differences and imagine the literal islets in a sea of black lava.
