Hiking
The function of the Schipperplein changes per season. In winter it becomes a small, public ice rink. In the warmer months, it is the perfect place to relax or take a (small) walk. The name is misleading: the square actually looks more like a park than a square. That's because landscape architects were responsible for the design.
