The heart for love locks in Wittingen is a romantic and quite new splash of color in the townscape. It offers couples the opportunity to officially seal their bond without damaging bridge railings. It was set up to prevent love locks from being attached to the functional railings of the Ohresee bridges, where their weight or rust could damage the structure.
