    The fountain of Saint Eudald...
It is part of one of the attractive points of the Camí Real,...
Currently and in summer it is dry, but it is a good place for a break.

According to legend, in 978 two monks carried the relics of Saint Eudald de Aix-les-Termes to Ripoll, the town of which he is the patron. The two monks were very thirsty, but they could not drink the Merdàs water because it was greasy and bad. They, although desperate and unwilling to go on, made a prayer invoking the Saint. Suddenly, an abundant and crystalline fountain sprang up from the side of the road, in which the two monks quenched their thirst. It was then called the Sant Eudald fountain.

According to oral tradition, the monks who carried the relics of St. Eudald on their way through this place, all thirsty, saw water gushing from the rock, supposedly the work of the Saint.
