The quadrilateral ski jump Sallach (front jump) is with its adjacent ditches and ramparts, central area, forecourt and outer hill, a very rare Schanzentyp and with 250 x 200 m unusually large and also very impressive. The plant was built during the mid to late Latene period (about 300 - about 15 BC) and was possibly destroyed at the beginning of the early Roman period by a large Schadfeuer.
