In 2023, archaeologists uncovered remains of the concentration camp in Pocking during the construction of the A94 motorway. They recovered numerous relics from the "brown dirt" that commemorate the victims and perpetrators of that time, such as toothpaste tubes, an engraved cigarette case, broken plates, Nazi medals, and much more. A 50-meter-long underground barbed wire fence was intended to prevent prisoners from digging their way out of the camp. Remnants of fabric were found on a section of the wire. All of the finds are now in the Flossenbürg Memorial.
