    The church was rebuilt in 1702 on the site of the first church dating from the 15th century. It is dedicated to Saint Nicholas, whose legend appears under the awning, patron of merchants, sailors and children.

    The central altarpiece in polychrome wood from the 18th century and the bell tower, one of the most beautiful in Savoyard bulbar art, are classified as Historic Monuments. Also worth seeing is its monumental granite portal and its sundial, the oldest in the Mont-Blanc region.

      In 1701, a new church was built. It was consecrated in 1704. However, the bell tower was struck by lightning and then rebuilt in 1829.
      A new restoration was undertaken in the 19th century.
      The church was registered by decree of July 7, 1971 and its bell tower has been classified since that date.


      It is 45m high and remarkable for its double bulb, its two octagonal galleries and its elegant metal spire. Its metal cover is made up of thousands of tinted stainless steel plates.

      The church is in Baroque style, because it corresponds to the counter-reformation era. Protestantism, led by Calvin from Geneva, gradually invaded the region. The aim of the counter-reform which is expressed through Baroque art is twofold:
